| School is out. Now it's time for Nwemb's vacation. He should be excited, but instead he's worried. This year Nwemb's family has decided to leave the city and vacation in the village of his grandparents. Nwemb has never been to the village. He doesn't know anyone there. He's worried that he won't meet anyone who will play with him. But things begin to brighten up when he meets a boy named Masso. Soon Nwemb is fishing, climbing trees, and learning the customs of his people. He is sad to return to the city, but one day he will visit the village again. |
